Rescue Pups Meet Loving Families: Dog Adoption Event at Southpoint Honda

There is nothing quite like the excitement of finding a new furry friend, and that is exactly the energy we got to be part of recently. Southpoint Honda proudly hosted a dog adoption event on our lot in partnership with Independent Animal Rescue, a Durham-based nonprofit dedicated to finding loving homes for dogs and cats in need. About the Event 

• The event took place on Saturday, August 22, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. 

• It was held in partnership with Independent Animal Rescue, a nonprofit serving the Durham, NC area.

• Dogs and puppies available for adoption were brought right to our dealership lot. 

• Visitors had the chance to meet multiple dogs in person and learn more about the adoption process on the spot from rescue employees. 

The turnout was fantastic, with plenty of visitors stopping by to meet the dogs. They asked questions, and in some cases, took home a new best friend. We were so encouraged by the response that we are already planning to host another adoption event this winter. 

Why This Matters to Southpoint Honda 

Being part of the Durham community means more to us than just selling cars. We want our dealership to be a place that gives back and supports the causes our neighbors care about, and animal welfare is one that resonates with so many of our customers and staff. Hosting events like this lets us open our doors for something bigger than a typical visit to the lot. A few reasons this kind of partnership matters to us:
